As we expand, we are looking for an experienced Medical Billing Team Lead to oversee billing operations, ensure compliance, and manage a team of billing specialists.
Job Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor a team of medical billing specialists to ensure high performance and accuracy.
- Billing & Claims Management: Oversee the submission, processing, and follow-up of medical claims to ensure timely reimbursement.
- Revenue Cycle Optimization: Monitor AR (Accounts Receivable), denials, and reimbursements to enhance efficiency and maximize collections.
- Compliance & Regulations: Ensure adherence to HIPAA, CMS, and other healthcare billing regulations.
- Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve claim denials, rejections, and underpayments by coordinating with payers.
- Reporting & Analytics: Generate and analyze billing reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs), cash flow, and revenue trends.
- Payer & Client Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for insurance companies, healthcare providers, and clients.
- Process Improvement: Implement best practices to improve billing workflows, reduce errors, and streamline reimbursement processes.
- Software & Technology Management: Utilize and manage EHR, medical billing software, and RCM tools for efficient operations.
Qualifications & Skills
✅ Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in medical billing, revenue cycle management (RCM), or healthcare finance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
✅ Industry Knowledge: Expertise in CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS coding, Medicare/Medicaid, and private insurance billing.
✅ Leadership Skills: Proven ability to supervise and develop a team while managing high-volume billing operations.
✅ Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in EHR/EMR systems, medical billing software (Epic, Kareo, eClinicalWorks, etc.), and Microsoft Excel.
✅ Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve billing discrepancies and claim denials.
✅ Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication for effective team coordination and client interactions.
✅ Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in billing, coding, and compliance monitoring.
